How Elder is licensed.

Elder is licensed under a Limited AGPL v3 with a fair-use preamble — free for personal and internal use.

Operating Elder as a service for third parties (commercial SaaS use) requires a commercial license from Penguin Tech Inc.

Modifications must be shared under the same AGPL terms. Companies employing an official Elder contributor receive a perpetual GPL-2.0 grant to the versions that contributor worked on.
